Abstract:
The study was about the effect of organizational culture and performance of accounting information system of Pallisa District Local Government. The study was guided by the following objectives;(i) to examine how involvement impact the performance of accounting information system in PDLG.(ii) To assess how adaptability impacts the performance of accounting information system in PDLG and (iii) to establish how a mission affects the performance ofaccounting information system in PDLG. Literature was reviewed from different related authors and scholars; related literature was reviewed about the topic of the study by different scholars in line with organizational culture and performance of AIS. The study applied a cross sectional research design and quantitative approach. Data was collected from a study population of 50 and sample size of 44respondents which was considered from the finance department, administration department, works department, production department and health department as guided by Krejcie and Morgan’s table. Data was collected using close ended questionnaires and analysis of data was done using statistical package for social sciences from which frequency tables, descriptive statistics, reliability, validity, correlation and regression results were obtained
