Waako, Paul; Busitema University
Busitema is a multi-campus Science and Technology based Public University located in&#13;
the Eastern region. The academic programs aim to address unemployment, poverty,&#13;
and inequality in the wider society. They further aligned to the National Development&#13;
Plan II (NDP II), Vision 2040, NRM Manifesto (2016-2021), and the Sustainable&#13;
Development Goals (SDGs). The University has operational Campuses at Arapai,&#13;
Busitema, Mbale, Nagongera, Namasagali, and Pallisa (see Figure 1), and each&#13;
campus with its niche. Our campuses are located in rural areas; the location bestows&#13;
the University a more incredible opportunity to transform rural communities than any&#13;
other University in Uganda.
