The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of financial innovation on financial sustainability of SMEs, a case study of Pallisa Pallisa district. Financial innovation was viewed as a three dimensional construct made of service, product and technology innovation. Financial sustainability was viewed in terms of liquidity, solvency and operational efficiency. The study findings depicted that there exists a positive and significant relationship between financial innovation and financial sustainability of SMEs in Pallisa district. Basing on the findings, the study recommended that SMEs should constantly improve on their services by creating new service packages, modify existing packages and also improve on the process of service delivery. This will enable the organization to always give the best to their clients. Additionally, products offered by the SMEs should also be innovated constantly to match or beat the competition in the industry where the SME operate. This will allow the SMEs to trigger a positive perceived value in the eyes of the consumers which in turn increase sales and hence financial stability. Lastly, SMEs should invest heavily in technology so as to stay competitive. Creating innovation and incubation centers should be adopted by SMEs in order to avoid obsolescence. This will also reduce on the costs of operation and increase operational efficiency.

This study focused on examining the role of social media in the promotion of tourism industry in Uganda, with specific attention to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC). The objectives were to explore the role of social media in travel planning by tourists visiting UWEC to assess its contribution in creating a positive destination image, and to determine its influence on tourists’ decision-making processes. The study was guided by the Uses and Gratification theory, which helped in explaining the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. A descriptive cross-sectional survey design was employed, combining both quantitative and qualitative methods, as it was deemed suitable for obtaining the necessary data efficiently. The study population comprised 50 individuals, with a target of 45 participants. Simple random sampling was applied, covering four UWEC departments. Data was collected mainly through close-ended questionnaires, supplemented by both primary and secondary sources. The analysis involved both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Quantitative data was processed using SPSS software, where results were presented in the form of frequency tables, correlations, and regressions, while qualitative methods helped in summarizing and describing findings. The results were then interpreted based on the study objectives, leading to clear conclusions. The study recommended that greater emphasis be placed on the use of social media as a tool for tourism promotion in Uganda. Overall, it concluded that social media enhances tourism by supporting itinerary planning, providing destination information, and enabling tourists to share experiences.

Foremost among these are limitations in medical equipment’s, difficulties in adapting to rapidly evolving public guidelines, inefficient supply chain management and insufficient staffing levels in nursing. These issues collectively strain resources, potentially impact staff morale and could compromise the overall patient experience based on our findings, it is evident that while the facility demonstrates strong commitment to patient care, the identified challenges pose significant barriers to achieving its full potential.
