Abstract:
This industrial training report contains activities carried out at Soroti district local government for a period of 2 months and 2 weeks. The activities implemented were categorized into three sections i.e., office work, fieldwork, and meat inspection (public health).
This report exponentially documents these activities as explained in the four chapters that include the following.
Chapter one introduces us to the place of attachment; location of SDLG, historical overview, soil vegetation and climate of the area of attachment, economic context, settlement patterns, ethnicity, administration, the organizational structure of district production and marketing department, and objectives of the veterinary sector.
Chapter two describes activities implemented during the attachment period which includes; field, office work, and public health.
Chapter three explains more about the impact of attachment which includes; skills gained during the training, responsibility undertaken during the training, the influence of the training on the future career plan, and how the industrial training activities carried out are correlated with lecture room knowledge
Then finally chapter four takes us to the conclusion of the report and recommendations to be put in place.
