Abstract:
This report was prepared during the farm and community training that lasted for a period of eight (8) weeks beginning from 28th Feb to 22nd April in the Atutur sub-county under the Kumi district local government. The major objective of this attachment was to fulfill the requirement needed for an award of BSA of BUAC. It's always carried out by students of BSA year two semester two (2) in order to put into practice what has been learnt in class theoretically, and also to get the skill and build up confidence in the field.
Activities carried out during the attachment Include the following; reporting to a place of attachment, cleaning of the trading centre, FMD vaccination, field marking, attending meetings at the sub-county (council and soccadido), receiving and distribution of orange and mango seedlings. These activities were done out of a willingness to learn and strong team working
Also, during this attachment, some significance of the study, challenges, responsibilities, and achievements were met.
And because of the experience got in the attachment, it, therefore, recommended that Government should avail transport means to all the extension workers like motorcycles to ease the field activities. Construction of crushes at every sub-county should be considered in order to ease work like vaccinations, Assessment from the university for the students in the field should be carried out regularly so as to improve on the weak points.
