dc.description.abstract Industrial training (IT) is one of the examinable modules that is done in Busitema University, Faculty of agriculture for the period of 8 weeks by students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in agriculture. It exposes the student to the farmers in which he or she learns from it and also the farmers learn from the student, gives the students a hands-on experience in farm and community practice and farming in general by giving them opportunity to stay in the community during the IT period. The 8 weeks of industrial training (IT) was carried out at Kwosir sub-county, Kween local government in Kween district where I got exposure in fields such as crop production, animal production, community-based services, and administration. Participatory discussions, Demonstration methods and observation were methods used to obtain information from the farmers during internship attachment such as demonstration setup, vaccination of livestock, and soil sampling and testing. Various tools were used which include; Soil testing kid, shrings. Various activities were carried out such as orientation, mobilization, vaccination, digging of the planting holes, watering of the planted seedlings. I acquired skills such as agricultural routine activities, identification of problems in farm and community concerning production, use of agrochemicals, disease diagnosis. Some challenges were also encountered in the course of the internship period such as inadequate farm tools, However, some Recommendations were highlighted to the university and the sub-county to mitigate the challenges encountered such as purchase of mote farm tools to allow students carry practical activities in time need for timely preparation of the time table to enable students complete their activities -in time. The work plan of internship, List of References, field photos are attached at the end of the report. In. conclusion; industrial training was marvelous because I was able to obtain practical skills such as carrying out soil sampling and testing for macro and micro nutrients, skills on how to restrain an animal, record keeping and taking note the minutes. Therefore, can applied the skills learnt to create a positive impact in my community such as creation of projects as source of employment to unemployed people; It should. be continued as it is the only way for the students to excel in the practical world outside as lit acquaints. the students with basic skills in agriculture. en_US
