dc.description.abstract Farm and community practice is the programme designed by Busitema university to particularly BSA students usually carried out during the recess term of second year for the award of Degree of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with attachment to be obtained from reputable Agricultural related institution/organization with community development and extension programmes. The purpose is to expose the student to how the community approach for development works, to give student opportunity to investigate community problems and suggest possible solutions, to allow the student to learn and demonstrate certain agricultural skills from the community, and to provide technical advice to the community farms and farmers. This report has four charters where by chapter one deals with the introduction about Soroti city which is the study area. Soroti obtained council status in the late 1960's and acquired the status of city in August 2020 Soroti city has a humid and hot climate. It receives annual rainfall of about 1000mm to 1200mm, Soroti city has a population of about 130,970 people. Soroti city has apolitical head who is the chairperson and takes title of city mayor. The chief executive is the city town clerk who reports to an elected council. Chapter two encompasses description of the activities carried out during farm and community practice. These activities include orientation and drawing the work plan, office practice, and meat inspection in the abattoir, germination test, data collocation and vaccination, field visits and citrus management. Chapter three emulates about skills I gained from the industrial training e.g. I gained the skill of carry out germination test and also how to vaccinate using various methods. It also contains responsibilities undertaken during the industrial training for example typing weekly reports carrying out vaccination, carrying out meet inspection. Chapter four has a summary of key conclusions derived from industrial training experience i.e. the activities done were so educative for example the seed germination test and vaccination and also staff members were cooperative, helpful, accommodative and encouraging this instilled confidence in me making me feel at home hence facilitating quick learning .1t also contains general observations i.e. The organisation has competent staff members. Most activities are animal based etc. it has also got recommendations i.e. to the university the industrial training should be scheduled at a time when different organisation have my activities to be done such that students have enough to learn from and to the place of attachment transport should be made available to intern students to facilitate quick and timely accessibility to places of work. en_US
