Abstract:
Industrial training is one of the study programmers of BU. the purpose is to train students on the various activities that are carried out in the community for development to give students opportunity to investigate community problems and suggest possible solutions, to allow the student learn and demonstrate certain agricultural skills from the community and to provide technical advice to the farms. The study was carried out in Amuria district (LG) Apeduru sub county It's located on the eastern direction from Amuria district local government headquarters approximately 07km along Acowa kapelebiong road. The subcounty was curved from Asamuk subcounty in the year 2011.the subcounty is bordered by five subcounties i.e. Amuria town council on the western, Willa on the North West, Akoromit on the east, and Asamuk on the southern .1t's an administrative company that delivers service to the community of Apeduru sic. The activities performed during the attachment included. Reporting and orientation, field visit to Apeduru small scale irrigation scheme, setting up germination test, budgeting and planning meeting distribution and training of farmers on citrus establishment and management, As a student I acquired knowledge in environmental management, skill in communication, exposure and knowledge in animal health management, knowledge and skill in developing work plans, knowledge and skill in pruning and proper weeding, knowledge in horticulture crop production, skill in report writing about the activities. The attachment had a great impact to me as an agricultural student since it covered almost all the major areas in agriculture mostly extension, animal and crop production. To me it was like a motivation and it has trained me for the future. Challenges were unwillingness of some farmers to interact with the students’ long distances travelled, bad and unfavorable weather and. Recommendations, the sub-county should purchase some equipment for demonstration of technologies to the famers.
