I started industrial training on 28 th feb 2022 and ended on 06th may 2022 at Kasajja Livestock Farm which is located in Nakaloke sub ccounty, Kolonyi Zone l, Mbale district. The Farm deals in Livestock which include goats, cattle, fish farming, bee keeping and crops like pastures, sunflower, maize beans and orchard.
During the industrial training, we participated in different activities in the entire Livestock and crop section which included activities in goats and cattle like endo-parasite control for example deworming, health inspection, dipping, treatment, castration, and cleaning- of structures. We also carried activities in orchard -management like pruning, spot wedding, spraying. The industrial training was- very as we got equipped with practical ideas in Livestock diary management and crop. We also encountered some challenges like a challenge of poor roads leading to farm gardens.
However, despite of the challenges faced the industrial training was completed successfully. Under my recommendation, the intern recommends the management of the farm to upgrade roads in order to resolve the above challenges. |
