A report on industrial training carried out in Soroti district local government, veterinary sector from 28th Feb 2022 to 6th May 2022.

Abstract

This is a report of activities that was carried out in Soroti District Local Government veterinary sector during my internship period from 28th of February to 6th of May. The activities implemented were categorized into three sections i.e.: office work, field work and public health. This report therefore documents these activities as explained in the four chapters below; Chapter one introduces us to the place of attachment; location of SDLG, historical overview, soil vegetation and climate of the area of attachment, economic context, settlement patterns, ethnicity, administration, organizational structure of district production and marketing department and objectives of the veterinary sector, Chapter two describes various activities implemented during the internship period that were from the three chapters: field, office work and public health activities. Chapter three explains more about impact of attachment which includes; skills gained during the training: challenges faced during internship, the influence of the training to the future career plan and how the industrial activities carried are correlated with class knowledge. Then finally chapter four takes us to conclusi9 of the report and recommendations to be put in place.
