A general report on skills and qualifications attained during industrial training from 28th February to 28th April at Arapai Busitema farm.

Abstract

Busitema University, Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Sciences Farm has various enterprises, in which we are attached to ten sections within our industrial training from both crop and animal sections, which gave me practical skills, field practice, and experience to enhance the application of the theoretical knowledge learnt in class. The objectives of the training acquainted me with knowledge in the following sections • Team work and team building • Banana production and management • Routine management practices carried out in animal production • Drug administration, sites and routes of drug administration • Disease prevention and control • Feed formulas and composition in pig production and their various sources • Ascertaining body condition score in shoats and dairy cattle • Irrigation compartments and managing diseases in green house production • Mushroom production basics • Milk processing
