Abstract:
Industrial training is a post-university technical training which involves the exposure of students to the field activities to acquire working experiences and share the knowledge obtained in the lecture room with the community.
The objective was to acquire experience in the farm practices by undertaking principles of farm and community practice and correlate knowledge obtained in the lecture room with that in the field.
This report consists of activities carried out during I.T and these include: apiary establishment and management, bee biology, the floral calendar, management of bee stings, hive inspection, catching of swarm, feeding of bees, bee pests and predators, making bio-pesticides, quality honey harvesting, honey processing, wax processing, propolis tincture processing honey packaging and branding, record keeping in apiculture. All these were carried out the training premises.
It also consists of the introduction which shows the historical back gluon of the firm, organization chart of honey pride, programs under taken at the farm, objectives, and mission, vision and core
Values.
It also contains the impacts of the attachment, responsibilities, correlation of the attachment, challenges faced during I.T, conclusions and recommendations. It also has the work plan and the I.T photos.
