dc.description.abstract An industrial training was carried out from March 14th to May 15th 2022 at Otuke Town Council — Otuke district. Otuke district is located in the Northern part of Uganda the Head Quarter 85km East of Lira Town and accessible by road along Lira-Abim-Kotido Highway, The district is bordered by Lira in the West, Abim to the East and Alebtong to the South East and Agago District in the North. Physically the district lies between Latitude 2 31'17.06"N and Longitude 3320'55.01"E. A total of 500 farmers were trained for a period of two months on the following topics: seed multiplication as business, good nutrition and food security, use of simple technologies in fanning (such as planters, weeders, solar dryer), vegetable production. The attachment period consisted of many different, responsibilities both within the office and outside in the field with the farmers. This majorly introduces the various tasks performed during attachment was demonstration. site verification, seed / seedlings distribution, planting demonstration garden, weeding, training farmers on Seed multiplication, nursery bed management, Nutrition and food security. Field visits to fanners, attending meetings, training farmers in various fields like vegetable growing, seed multiplication, piggery, irrigation, Farmers training on Climate smart agriculture, community seed multiplication business, good nutrition, vegetable production, participation in budget laid down for the financial year 2022/2023, work precautions and safety, input I seedling distribution to farmers (cassava cuttings -NA.ROCasI, improved mangoes and citrus, soya bean —MAKSoya 3N and upland Rice -Numche L, goat and sheep good husbandry practices. Despite the challenges that we haves we have learnt a lot and tried to manage some of the challenges during the internship training. en_US
