Industrial training report carried out at Busitema university Arapai campus farm-Soroti district.

Abstract

Industrial training is one of the course modules in Busitema university and its target is to equip students with basic field skills that link up with the theory leant in the class and their respective professional, In Busitema University, the industrial training program was carried out for 10 weeks. At faculty of Agriculture and Animal Sciences it is done during internship period basing on the University requirements.

Industrial training is allocated its own period of time from 28/02/2022 to 6/05/2022

Industrial training has various sections i.e., piggery, dairy, banana production, pasture establishment and management, green house, workshop unit (welding unit), small ruminants and mushrooms production and students are supposed to attend, the following are some of the activities that we did. In all sections; feeding animals, regular cleaning of the animal houses, disease diagnosis, treatment of different diseases, castration, dehorning, fencing and pasture establishment and management, Deleafing banana plants, digging water channels in banana garden, application of farm yard manure to the banana plants.

Weeding banana plants, mushroom production, welding, stalking of tomatoes fertilizer mixing and application.
