Abstract:
Industrial training one of the course module that introduce the students to the field in order to gain confidence, knowledge and skills. In this training a student goes out to various agricultural research and training institute of their choice Organization for Community Action (OCA) consists of three different sectors which include, Sustainable Agriculture (crop and animal production for both consumption and commercial). Gender and Community Development (promote gender promote girl child education, good sanitation and hygiene, human rights protection, peace building and conflict resolution, safe and clean water to the community, etc. Savings and investment (savings and credit, business identification arid management). There are also other social businesses promoted within the Communities by the organization for instance Eco-San toilet whereby they extract fertilizers from both urine and feces and also use of reusable sanitary pads made by farmers.
This report consists of four chapters; chapter one includes the introduction of Organization for Community Action, the climate, historical background, sector and services offered and beneficiaries of the organization.
Chapter two describes the various sections and activities carried out during the industrial training at each sections like raising of seeds on nursery bed and distribution of seedlings to farmers.
Chapter three consists of skills and qualifications gained, responsibilities undertaken during the training influence of the training to my future career, challenges faced the training and solutions to the challenges faced.
Chapter four consists of conclusions and recommendations
