Abstract:
The purpose of this industrial training is to attain the practical skills both in crops and animal husbandry by using the theoretical knowledge acquired by the students for various institutions, college and university
Several activities were carried out in different fields as students were allocated in different sections from the farm
In the first week, I was basically utilized for orientation to make me know the farm policies, premises and staff to deal with morals to have when in the community
The activities carried out was under the section of Agro forestry, there was seedling raising e.g. citrus, mangoes, how to carryout grafting and budding, importance of grafting. and budding
Under the section of Aquaculture, there was importance of growing fish in water, pond construction and managing the pond, fish harvesting and fish hygiene
Under the section of adaptive research there was harvesting of maize, soya beans and how to manage them, cassava management
Under the section of dairy production and management, there was advantages of dairy production, management requirement and methods of milking. Ana under the section. of goat productions there was facilities heeded goat production, system of rearing goats, management system.
