Abstract:
Industrial training is aimed at equipping Students' with practical knowledge before they graduate. This report contains all the information about all the activities e.g. disease investigation and treatment, planting of banana suckers and citrus seedlings, weeding pastures etc. that we carried out during industrial (raining which was done within the campus. This farm is under the university and is managed by the farm manager with assistance from other both skilled and unskilled workers. The first chapter is the introductory part of the report that consists of the background, location, missions vision and the organization structure the main part of this report describes all the activities that we carried. out during attachment from different sections like in piggery, cattle, poultry, small ruminants, mushroom, green house, horticulture, perennial crop gardens etc. The third phase summarizes the impacts of the attachment like the skills gained from the attachment, responsibilities that I held during my training, influences of the attachment activities on my future career plans, correlation of the field activities with the classroom knowledge, it also summarizes some of the challenges that I faced like poor time management by both students and facilitators, water shortage and inadequate practical materials though most of the of the activities were successfully done and were able. to gain skills. My recommendation is that let the university ensure that there is enough supply of water with the farm and adequate practical materials.
