Farm and community practice carried out at Kityerera presidential demonstration farm Mayuge.

Abstract

The report comprises of all the activities that were carried out during the industrial training which commenced on 28th February 2022 and ended on 22nd April 2022 at Kityerera Presidential Demonstrating farm in Kityerera sub county Mayuge District.

The enterprises under taken, the time of adoption of different enterprises, reasons for establishment of the farm, the vision and mission of the farm, the activities that were carried out during the Internship, included poultry management activities like cleaning feeding, disease management, beak trimming, egg collection, record keeping and vaccination.

Dairy management practices included feeding, pasture preservation, cleaning, watering, milking, bucket feeding, internal and external parasite control, dehorning, and disease management, Fish culture, mushroom growing and skills attained during the training, lessons learnt, challenges and recommendations.
