Abstract:
The industrial training and practices was conducted at Teso College Aloet Farm in Soroti district for the period of six weeks which was aimed at equipping the students with more practical and professional skill. At the station I was attached to the both animal and crop section. In crop section has other subsection i.e., Citrus, Forest and vegetables like cabbage, skuma wike, green papers tomatoes and but in cattle section we had dairy cattle.
I carried out many activities in cattle section including spraying, census castration, treatment, health inspection and meat inspection.
This attachment equipped with number of skills including diagnosing many livestock diseases.
In crop section I carried so many activities and I have gained more knowledge on how to plant eucalyptus seedlings in straight line using a planting cross, of sex chicks, weighing of chick’s feeds, the amount of feeds chicks are supposed to eat in a day.
I recommend the government to invest some capital for renovation of some structures.
