A Report carried out at Atlas Livestock Dairy Farm located in Kobwin Sub- County, Koewin parish Ncora district

Abstract

The internship training was conducted at Atlas livestock dairy farm in Ngora district for a period of eight weeks from 28ff/Feb/ 2022 to 24YApril/2022. The main objective of this training was to equip students with practical skills relevant to their courses particularly In Animal production an management, During internship activities such as castration, dehorning, animal treatment, animal disease diagnosis, silage making, meat inspection, feeding of farm animals, record keeping, sheep docking, deworming, spraying, pasture establishment, and outreaches, Challenges I faced during the internship period included long distances that we used to walk during outreach services to farmers. However, the industrial training was successfully carried out. In recommendation farm should employ more casual laborers, the farm should provide mineral blocks to their animals and it should buy more tolls like brooms, brushes, spades and wheel barrow for use during cleaning.
