dc.description.abstract This report is a content and description of the activities carried out, skills, knowledge and qualifications gained, the difficulties encountered during the industrial training, deductions and remarks or recommendation derived from the challenges faced at Apac district local governments production and marketing department. The objectives of this industrial training is to make students have hands on and apply the skills and knowledge they attained from classroom to the field and to build in them, strength and confidents as they learnt while performing assigned task. During the industrial training, I was attached to the department of animal production and management to rotate in all the sub counties of the district. I was oriented for a period of one week to the CBFs, AVOs and pilot farmers of the district and later implemented the activities such as spraying, deworming, castration of livestock, vaccination and treatment of livestock, farmer visits and farmers advisory services of OWC beneficiaries at the district on -livestock management practices. These activities have oriented me and have raised my capacity in performing several field animal health production and management related activities generally. Iam much oblique that my internship training was marvelously informative, skillful and knowledgeful. Though, poor mobilization of farmers, lack of veterinary drugs and equipment at sub counties, limited or sometimes no transport means for field work at the production department or outdated animal facilities like animal crushes, plunge dips or spray races at some counties, poor loading ramps and poor turn up of farmers for trainings were among the several challenges that stressed during the training. In conclusion, I was able to participate actively and practically and attain most of the skills and knowledge exhibited by my field supervisors as well as creating friendship with the staffs of Apac DLO Much as all activities successfully progressed, I would like to recommend that the government should ensure all district have better animal facilities like crushes, spray races and dips and loading ramps at all parish level and which are fully operational at all times, provide veterinary drugs and equipment's to all district sub counties just like they does these in human health facilities and increase in number of motorcycles to help in easing transportation of field staffs. en_US
