Abstract:
The internship training was conducted at Bombo town council, Namisindwa district local government for a period of ten weeks from 28th Feb, 2022 to 6th May, 2022. The purpose of this training was to equip students with practical skills that are relevant to their respective courses especially in animal production and management, during the ten weeks’ period many activities were under taken and these included castration, orientation, dehorning, dehorning, spraying, pasture conservation, poultry vaccination, vaccination of cattle against FMD, vaccination pets against Rabies, meat inspection, feed mixing, disease diagnosis and treatment, animal traction. Many challenges were encountered during the internship period such as bad weather condition, language barriers failure to issue work plan in time, tiresome work done and transport costs to the farm. However, it was concluded that the industrial training was successfully carried out however some challenges Where encountered such as bad weather, failure to issue the work plan in time, language barrier and inadequate labor. In recommendation therefore the organization should recruit other workers because work was tiresome due to inadequate labor personnel.
