This report contains and describes all the activities implemented, skills and qualifications gained, challenges faced during the industrial training conclusions and recommendations derived from the challenges at Buac farm. The objectives of this industrial training is to equip students with the knowledge on practical and hands- on skills, to build confidence amongst students and to make students apply classroom knowledge in the field. During this internship, I was Introduced to the department of animal production and man agent and this was followed by orientation and grouping of different activities and sections as well for example open castration of bulls using a bardizzo, good management practices like cleaning, provision of clean safe water for drinking, provision of feeds and disease diagnosis in piggery section, zero grazing units for Friesian animals and in small ruminants section (goats) through breed identification by color, origin characteristics of each breed body score, principle of spraying (BBBRH) i.e. Back to Brisket to Belly to Rare and to Head and also age determination using dental formula in goats. Other sections also include; green house where young, tender and perishable plants are raised specifically I managed tomatoes care practices like weeding, spraying using foliar method, pruning, disease identification like tomatoes blight, bacterial wilt, and dumping-off disease. Fertilizer application i.e., Top dressing and ring method (NPK 17:17:17) and trellising of the plant. Argo- forestry was another section where I found interest! Here, I learnt the different methods of propagating tress for example by seeds, wildings, buds and stem cuttings. I also learnt about grafting and budding as I which made me to gain knowledge, skills and confidence in each aspect of different field sections. While in my study, I faced some challenges like poor mobilization by supervisors, inadequate veterinary drugs, equipment like A.] guns bardizzo, ay and s' e making machine for grass as well as qualified veterinary personals to carry out areas like A.I, feed formulation and proper methods of making yoghurt, Lack of appropriate information since some sections w not attended to like poultry units also un favorable whether condition like drought could t allow timely establishment of pastures for the I animals. There for, recommend the university provide the minimal tools and equipment's for proper running of routine activities by trainees.
