Abstract:
Usually Busitema University as Arapai campus, under the faculty of Agriculture and Animal science Sends out students to various organizations to get field trainings especially those attached to agriculture in order to attain much needed experience in the area of agriculture. The duration of the training is ten weeks.
I was attached to Adjumani district local government under veterinary department under the guidance of D.V.O.
A lot of activities were carried out, orientation of the students, spraying of animals against ectoparasitesat various dates, treatment of animal against photosentivity, vaccination of chicken against gumboro, meat inspection at various dates, training of farmers on diary production, vaccination of chicken against Newcastle at various dates, field visits in poultry unit, piggery
units and goat units at various time, silage making, preparation of micro indigenous organism(I.O.M ), vaccination of cattle's against black quarter and anthrax, treatment of urinary tract infection, (U.T.I), Castration of gilt pig, construction of crush, field visits in diary units at various dates involving taking of body temperature, checking of ticks, feeding of pigs with silage, land marking, prophylactic treatment, deworming of animals, treatments of goats, vaccination of dogs against rabies at various places, operation of bull animal, and vaccination of chicken against fowl pox at various places.
