A report on the activities carried out during internship with Welthungerhilfe, Moroto under Sraplea project from May 2o to July 26 2019

Abstract

Industrial training is one of the course units carried out in Busitema University. It is done outside class and it's all about interaction between the farmers and extension workers. I did my internship in 10 weeks, from 20th May-26th July (Two months and two weeks). The in brief of the activities during internship is as follows. Chapter one of the report describes the organizations' location which is plot 15E Lia street Boma North, historical background and organization structure. In chapter two, activities such as orientation treated the animals dewormed, vaccination, gave prophylactic treatment cattle, goats and sheep, monitoring of valley tanks, training farmers on held health management and attended training workshops, were done. Chapter three of the report elaborates on the skills and qualifications gained like preparing and making presentations during workshops, take responsibility of the equipment used in the field in terms of repairing and also converting classroom knowledge into field knowledge. However, in chapter four as in conclusion, the internship went on well full of new experience in Karamoja despite of challenges met and recommendations made were for the organization to construct crushes near watering points and carry out tick control and massive treatment schedule? and advise farmers to carry out prompt and regular deworming.
