The organization aims at carrying out adaptive research on crop to produce crops that can suit the northern agro-ecological climate, to train farmers on good agronomic practices, to improve on the dietary needs of the local farmers and equipping students with skills and knowledge on practical aspects in the field of agriculture.
The organization also consist of two department i.e., crop and animal. For crop, it was implemented on the 01/02/2016 which is functioning at the moment but for animal department it was not yet implemented so they are still looking forward for purchasing oxen to distribute to the farmers though we are doing small activities like spraying animals, deworming therefore from the activities I carried out during the attachment period, I was able to gain skills and qualification such as spraying animals deworming drafting production and marketing plan for the farmer, measuring of demonstration plot using tape measure, planting demonstration of sunflower and sesame in the lines and Collecting of data for drafting production and marketing plan hence I do recommend that the industrial training should continue though the university should support the organization to facilitating the mentor field supervisors so that they should deliver all they have to student for the better training and success of industrial training to improve on good agronomic practices in northern Uganda to promote high products.
