The industrial training report conducted from Kobwin sub county under Atlas livestock dairy farm in Ngora district for a period of two months and a half.

Abstract

I conducted the internship program at Atlas livestock dairy farm, which is a privet entity in Ngora district from 28th Feb to 06th May 2022. The FAAS of BUA designated this field attachment with an intension of building capacity of the students pursuing different programs in practical skills related to their areas of specialization in various fields of agriculture in comparison with theoretical knowledge acquired from class as well as serving as a partial- requirement for the award of Diploma in Animal production and management. This report is made up of four chapters, where chapter one majorly discusses the introduction. which gives ALDF information about the background: departments of attachment, location, organization structure, ownership, sector of operation; beneficiaries and objectives. Chapter two discusses about activities of two departments which I practically did, description of tasks & working days, familiarity. Chapter three consists of the impacts of attachment which are; Skills gained, responsibilities and influence of the attachment to the future, correlation of performed activities& class room knowledge, challenges faced; chapter four which concludes and gives recommendations to both university and ALDP respectively for betterment of attachment, appendices and lastly reference.
