This training was carried out at the local government koboko district veterinary department attached to ludara sub county local government. This report contains four chapters including appendices, work plain, field photos. chapter one contains;
introduction, background, location, boundaries, climate, topography and objectives. Chapter two consisting of; description of the attachment that includes; farmers training, animal spraying, vaccination meat inspection, livestock health training, training on livestock management, general livestock treatment etc. Chapter three, containing impacts of the attachment that handled skills acquired for example; meat inspection, castration, animal restraining, knowledge of disease reporting, planning and administrative issues, mobilization and distribution criteria, training and documentation skills, rural sociology, performance assessment, addressing issues on disease handling etc. impacts of the activities on my future carrier ,responsibilities undertaken during the attachment period, correlation of the attachment activities with my classroom knowledge. Chapter four containing conclusions and recommendations. Conclusively, though with same challenges the training was successfully completed. Recommendations include the following; provision of transport facilities to easy movements to the fields since It involved long distance movements, adequate mobilization to be done in order to avoid farm s missing important livestock health training ,government should ensure proper sensitization of farmers to avoid cases of boycotting government programs such as mass vaccination programs ,government should provide livestock drugs which intern will be stationed at the sub counties to handle emergency cases last but not least the districts with the help of the government should at least motivate intern students in order to boost there morals at the end of the training. |
