Abstract:
This report is a compilation of all the information and data gathered within a period of ten (10) weeks of recess term/internship at Kapchorwa local government under Veterinary department. It has chapter one which contains the introduction, background, climate, location and size.
Chapter two that is containing description of the activities done during my attachment in veterinary department such as pet vaccination against meat inspection, farmer trainings, disease diagnosis and treatment, abattoir sample submission to veterinary doctor arid making follow ups to people bitten by dogs during vaccination period and taking back vaccination equipment to the office after every daily work.
Chapter three contains impact of attachment and skills gained for example livestock management like feeding, housing and breeding livestock disease diagnosis and treatment, meat inspection, interaction with farmers hence improving on my skills in communication and problem solving capacity.
Chapter four contains conclusion and recommendation for example government should allocate funds to veterinary department for their improvements on laboratory setup and to improve on technical staff efficient and effective movements in service delivery in widening areas of operation.
Appendices, this contains field photos, a table and table containing the work plan during my industrial training attachment.
