Abstract:
The industrial training was carried out at Obanga Pe Wany Organic Vegetable Farm located in Ireda Shamba cell, Lira City East Division from 28th Feb 2022 to 6 th May 2022.The farm utilizes modern agricultural practices like drip irrigation, bag gardening, vertical farming, vermicomposting, air layering and also offers training to individuals, students and groups of farmers.
During the training, I did various activities like air layering, canopy management, hand weeding, onions and tomato seedlings, hydroponic fodder making, processing and branding honey, scientific research procedure on tomato seedlings, propagation of banana suckers and many others.
The activities I carried out helped me gain more practical and theoretical knowledge. I request the farm administration to add more workers for the smooth running of the activities instead of hiring causal laborers and also provide enough tools and equipments to be used.
