This report is about industrial training that lasted for 10 weeks i.e., from 28th /08/2022 to 06th /5/2022 carried out at AGRO MAX (ID)LTD Agri-business company Moroto SBDI site located at Lokerinyut village, Naduget sub-county, Moroto district, approximately 25 kilometers away from Moroto town west of Moroto district. The activities which were carried out as detailed in three different sections i.e., vegetable production, poultry production, and Agro forestry, they are broken down into several parts including, cocoa pit preparation, raising of eggplant, onions and tomatoes seedlings, fertilizer application, watering, mulching, transplanting, weeding and planting, daily routine management in the poultry house, chicken feeding, provision of feeds, litter management- vaccination. Skills gained include, preparation of cocoa pit, raising of vegetable seedlings, vaccination of poultry birds against new castle disease, and skills in conflict management. While in the place of attachment, I held some responsibilities which included coco pit preparation, raising of vegetable seedlings, agronomic practices, vaccination of birds against new castle disease, and transplanting of the vegetable seedlings to the main garden. The internship was of great significance in the sense that, While at the farm, and the community I was able to relate my classroom knowledge to the field situation, which exposed me to the work environment, associating me with people of different personalities, tribes and academic levels, and professions, In conclusion the internships was of great significance not only to the students but also to all different projects both crop and animal projects which make management of the entire farm inefficient. I, therefore, recommend that the farm employs more personnel. I, therefore, recommend the university officially encourage students to apply for attachment at Agromax (U) limited because it exposes students to crop, poultry units, and farm machines.
