Industrial training report carried out at Otuboi lower local government Kaberamaido district for the duration beginning from 21st May to 27th July 2018.

Abstract

The industrial training was- carried at Otuboi Sub County located in eastern to the west of Soroti district and lying at approximately between latitude 133 0N-233 0N and latitude 3001 OE - 348.10E. however, Otuboi consists of five parishes with a number of 60 villages, the activities carried in the field were; Vaccination of pet animals against rabies, symptoms of rabies disease aggressiveness and restlessness the most affected ones were the domestic dogs and cats, Demonstration spraying on cattle, sheep goats against ticks and other biting insects, Animal drug shop visit was done purposely to know the categories of drugs such as antibiotics, dewormers and accaricides. Fish pond construction of measurement (35X75) m, the depth 1m from the water inlet and 1.2m from the water outlet of the fish pond, livestock data collection on ail domestic animals and apiary, sensitization of farmers on animal management practices on feeding system, animal health, housing and hay making, monitoring of operation wealth creation, issuing animal health movement permit also in abattoir, we carried out disease surveillance (ante mortem) and meat inspection (post-mortem). However, the impacts of the. framing were; Good communication skills, learnt from farmers and supervisors, different animal diseases and their management, knowledge on different animal drugs, code of public conduct and office management.
