dc.description.abstract INDUSTRAL training was carried out in Rubongi sub county Tororo district from vet department which is concerned with animal production and management. The training, was not only done in the sub county of attachment but also to various sub counties around Tororo district under district veterinary programs on trypanasomiasis surveillance which involves all sub county vet officers in the district and all the internees under the department. This report contains and describes activities implemented, skills and qualification gained, challenges faced during the industrial training, recommendation and conclusion. The purpose of this training was to enable the students attain practical skills and knowledge for the enhancement of future development of agriculture by helping farmers realize their gaps in order to change to a more productive way of production through providing extension services and market linkages on animal production among others.it also played a role in training students on different activities which include the following; meat inspection, poultry vaccination, castration, disease diagnosis and treatment, disease investigation and control, treating animaIs with different drugs such as OTC, imidocarb, hitet, diminazene, penicillin, ETC, for the treatment of various diseases such as tryps, east coast fever, anaplasmosis, and other bacterial and viral diseases etc. As a result, of these activities, I gained skills in various aspects such as meat inspection, poultry vaccination, diseases investigation and control, castration, etc. however; we faced a number of challenges such as bad weather conditions, hunger, high transport cost and poor roads, and as a result, I would recommend that the government should repair roads, provide each sub county with a vehicle, food should be provided to the staff to enable efficient delivery of vet service in a cool and conducive manner. en_US
