This report was compiled during my industrial training that lasted for 10 weeks at KSF. The major purpose of this training is to fulfil the requirements needed for the partial fulfilment of diploma in animal production and management and also to put theoretical knowledge got from class into practice.
Chapter one covers the identification of industrial training clearly indicating the introduction, location, mission of the farm, vision of the farm, objectives, background, climate and vegetation, and the organogram of KSF.
Chapter two covers the description of attachment of several activities like orientation, making work plan, cleaning milking parlor, dipping, pasture establishment, dehorning, parasite control, dairy management, drugs identification and nomenclature, fish sampling, hay making process, milking, organizing planting materials, fish pond management calf management, castration, fooder harvesting and feeding animal, orchard management, pregnant diagnosis, pasture identification, ear tagging and disease diagnosis
Chapter three covers the impacts of the attachment i.e. Skills gained during industrial training, responsibilities, how the training influences my future career plans, how the training relates to class work.
Chapter four contains KSF SWOT analysis, challenges faced during the training, solutions, recommendations KSF, recommendations to the university, conclusions; appendix and references. |
