Abstract:
In respect to the department of Agriculture at Busitema University Arapai campus, it is pre-requisite to undertake industrial training for partial fulfillment for award of Diploma in crop production and management, Industrial training is a module carried outside the classroom. It exposes students on practical skills which involved visiting agricultural offices and handling different enterprises like coffee production, apple production, banana production, potatoes, Agro-forestry and wheat production.
The objective of this study was to enhance theoretical skills and knowledge learnt in class- with hands on practical skills and applied knowledge. It's normally scheduled for a period of two months.
The Scope of work.
The study was carried out Linder the following activities,
• Visiting the organization to seek acceptance and mandate enterprises
• Preparation for industrial training for example sharing with supervisors, making timetables and activity plan,
• Conducting the training in selected enterprise
• Writing a report and editing
• Binding and submission of industrial report.
Key objectives of the study.
• To enable me get hands on experience in real life situation I'm expected to work in when I graduate.
