dc.description.abstract Industrial training is hands on practical training that gives the students the opportunity to practice and learn from the various agencies that they apply to with hopeful thoughts that they may practice and acquire new skills with ease. This section of the report clearly summarizes the activities being reported prior to the activities being accomplished during the I. T Period at Kotido District Local Govemment. The production and marketing department of Kotido district local government is involved in numerous government programs that include; OWC/NAADS, NUSAF3, RPLRP, ATAAS, AGRIC EXTENSION, etc., which programs and projects are being implemented sometimes by the agriculture and veterinary sector concurrently. The Crop sector of production and marketing is majorly involved in provision of agricultural extension and advisory services Setting up of learning demonstration sites, promotion of post-harvest handling technologies and value addition, environmental conservation practices, promotion of modern Agronomic practices among many others. The report covers a section of activities related to the above mentioned departmental and sectoral intervention which include land preparations, row planting of different crops such as; maize, pest and disease management, distribution of different agricultural inputs such as maize, hand hoes, testing of seed viability, development of soil and water conservation structures such as Zia pits, double dug garden, trainings on farmer groups, establishment of vegetable nursery beds. All these activities were done in all the sub counties Kotido district local government i.e., Municipal Council, Rengen sub-county, Panyangara sub-county, Kotido sub-county, Nakapelimoru sub-county, Kacheri sub-county. en_US
