Abstract:
The industrial training report contains chapters and clearly describes the details of activities we performed at ZODFA and these include; processing honey and wax, integrated watershed management, energy saving stove, nursery bed preparation, data collection, preseasonal planning and banana plantation, Irish potatoes, beans and maize as presented below;
Chapter one
This chapter described ZODFA, the historical background, vision, mission and purpose objectives of the training.
Chapter two
Here I described the set of activities I got involved in during industrial training at ZODFA for example processing and wax extraction, micro watershed training, nursery bed preparation and management root crops (cassava, Irish potatoes), legumes (beans), and cereals (maize).
Under each activity, various agronomic practices were done such as land demarcating, seeds, soating, planting, weeding, soil and water conservation management, pest and disease control.
Chapter three
This chapter summarizes the impacts of the attachment i.e., skills gained, responsibilities undertaken, influence of the attachment to my future career plans, correlation of the attachment activities with classroom knowledge and the various challenges during the period of the attachment.
Chapter four
This chapter contains the recommendations to ZODFA and BUAC and conclusions, appendices, workplan and references.
