dc.description.abstract The industrial training which is carried out is meant to expose student to practical skills in the field environment to prove their employment and future studies to gain knowledge and skill in their relevant fields. During the period of two months that is to say 28 th Feb- 6thMay 2022, I conducted my industrial training at Amolatar Town Council, Amolatar district, thus moving through the six activities of the industrial training e.g., orientation, farmers field visit, antimonam and postmortem infection training, caring disease control and measures, demonstration on goat's house. And the above all, activities were being headed by field supervisor Town Council as the immediate supervisor and the District production officer, Amolatar as the senior supervisor. Generally, the report comprises of 4 chapters i.e.: Chapter (1) showing a brief introduction, background, objectives or aims of the industrial training. Chapter 2 is showing the description of the attachment. Chapter (3) is elaborating important attachment, skill acquired and the challenges I undertook, the activities to my career and their co-relationship to classroom knowledge hence chapter 4 provides the conclusion and recommendation, deposits the challenges presented in chapter 3, the industrial training was completed successfully. Pallisa district was curved off Tororo District in 1991, The neighbouring border districts of Pallisa include Serere, Ngora, Kumi, Butebo, Bukedia (North), Mbale, Budaka, Kibuku and Kaliro with the town council is located 65kilometers (40mils) by road west of Mbale, the largest city in the sub-region. The coordinates of the district are: 01 OIN, 33 4313. the total area coverage is 1,487.7 km2 (574.4 sq mi). In 2012, the population of Pallisa District was estimated at about 362,600. Pallisa district has four (4) town councils with twenty-one (21) sub counties. Subsistence crop agriculture and animal husbandry are the two major economic activities, fishing, fish farming and bee keeping increasingly practiced in Pallisa District. Pallisa district has the following lakes: L. Lemwa, L. Kawi, L. Nakwa, L. Meito, L. Geme, L. Omunuo, L. Nyanzala, L.Nyaguo with a big potential for fish farming and supply. This offers a great opponunity for students to conduct industrial training and Research both at the district and through community outreaches. The district operates under several research programs focusing technology promotion, animal and crop resources which is headed by the district Production and Management Officer. There is also advisory service delivery and new technology promotions at the district Industrial training was conducted on the available livestock and agricultural enterprises i.e., crop, cattle, piggery, goats, agro-forestry, apiculture and aquaculture handled by different stakeholders in the production department. The overall Field supervisor was Dr, Ouke Benard Odongo (Veterinary Officer) in charge of animal production, animal health and traction. A team of students from Busitema University, had daily hands-on practical training learning session on all the above-mentioned enterprises for two months Pallisa District Local government.
