Abstract:
Industrial training one is a mandatory course unit, for the bachelor of agribusiness program,
It gives agribusiness students a platform on which they can establish their enterprise projects either crop or animal.
The training took a period of two months from the time it started to completion and the project activities included field marking, land preparation, planting, weeding; fertilizer application, and marketing of final output and among others and so I was able to gain experience out of the training.
However, I encountered a few challenges such as Watering was a hard task to do since it was not raining for some of the days; cattle rearing in the area of production, theft of the produce and long distance to the field
I would recommend that for watering to be a simple activity, farm taps should be extended nearer to the project sites and also the number of taps should be increased at the project site. and the institution should also help students to put strict laws on their workers over grazing their cattle in the field and stealing of students produce.
For industrial training 2, the university should allocate students to nearby farming land for easy monitoring of their activities.
