Industrial training report carried out in Kumi hospital farm Ongino (Kumi district).

Abstract

During my industrial training that lasted for a period for ten weeks beginning from may-July 2016 in Kumi hospital farm Ongino. The major objectives were to fulfill the requirement needed for an award of diploma in animal production and management of BUAC. Pill of the. -theoretical knowledge got in class in to practice to acquire skills in farm management, learn and judge on the performance of different dairy breeds of animals. Activities like milking, treating of animals, paddock fence repair, deworming. Dipping, counting, identification of animals, health inspection, dehorning, ear vaccination of chicken, feeding the chicken and changing the litter were done out of proper time allocation and management as the supervisor was eager for me to learn much in the farm. During this practice had some significance of the study, limitations, responsibilities held and achievements.

Because of the results, it's therefore recommended that the farm management should lobby funds from the donors in order to speed up the process of farm rehabilitation, invite scientists [veterinary doctors], extension workers to assess the progress the farm.
