A report for activities carried out during industrial training at Soroti district local government under the production department.

Abstract

This is a report of what was carried out in Soroti District Local Government during the internship. The activities implemented were categorized into three sections i.e., office work, field work and public health. This report therefore documents these activities as explained in the four chapters below;

Chapter one introduces us to the place of attachment, location of SDLG, historical overview, soil vegetation and climate of the area of attachment, economic context, settlement patterns, ethnicity, administration, organizational structure of district production and marketing department and objectives of the veterinary sector.

Chapter two describes activities implemented during the attachment period which includes; field, office work and public health activities.

Chapter three explains more about impact of attachment which includes; skills gained during the training, responsibility under taken during the training, the influence of the training to the future carrier plan and how the industrial training activities carried are correlated with class knowledge.

Then finally chapter four takes us to conclusion of the report and recommendations to be put in place.
