dc.description.abstract I carried out my industrial training from Muyomba dairy farm limited wakiso PO BOX 620 Kampala Uganda is located along Kampala-Hoima Road highway 200m from Wakiso district headquarters along temangalo road. The farm has a number of animals of Friesian breed, which they milk more than 200 liters of milk per day and the farm is mostly mechanized. This report brings forward the following findings during the field work attachment at Muyomba dairy farm from 28th Feb to 6th May 2022. While at the farm we were engaged in various activities which include the following; Cattle spraying; deworming, branding, castration, dehorning/disbudding, fencing, cleaning all the units, pasture management and improvements, disease diagnosis and treatment of animals, bucket feeding calves', animal census: record keeping, breed identification, drug identification (pharmacology), pregnant diagnosis (PD), artificial insemination, identification of some parasites e.g., ticks, mites etc, feed formulation, machine operation, silage harvesting, hay making, ploughing, harrowing, fencing, farm structure identification, measuring of milk, manure collection, drenching of animals, milking. During the industrial training, I gained most. of practical skills, which including treating animals knowing different routes of administration with different dosages deworming animals orally, different classes of accaricides in the market, record keeping, disease diagnosis, managing and treating calves, castration, milking, procedures of milking, signs of animal on heat, pregnant. diagnosis artificial insemination among others. However, I faced a number of challenges like waking early in the morning to go for internship training so as to milk animals because they milk very early in the morning at exactly 5:00am yet was staying far from the farm, hard work given by field supervisors at the farm, high cost of rent where I was staying and high cost of food among others. Conclusively, despite these challenges, I thank God so much who helped me to finish excellently because. I attained the goals and objectives needed in my study during fieldwork. Lastly, recommend frat accommodation should be constructed for internees to avoid long distance. Industrial training should be strengthened because it gives a wider field of learning hence gaining more and knowledge needed for practical work. en_US
