dc.description.abstract I compiled this study report daring industrial training that began on Monday,18th May 2015 and ended on Friday, 24th JuIy 2015. The training was for ten weeks and was carried out in Bududa District Head Quarters, Bududa District in Uganda. The work was under the supervision of Dr. Odongo Felix, the District Veterinary Officer of Bududa district. These were to fulfill the requirements needed for the award of a Diploma in Animal Production and Management of Busitema university-Arapai campus, putting much of the theoretical knowledge got in class into practice, acquire practical skills in farm management, learn and judge on the performance of different diary breeds of animals and also the different diseases affecting them. I participated in several activities like animal treatment, pregnancy diagnosis, de-worming, weighing, spraying, and meat inspection among others (chapter two). These activities were done out of proper time allocation and management as my supervisor was eager for me to learn much from the field. On the same note, I looked at the problems facing the livestock farmers within Bududa district, the problems I faced as a trainer and also the relevant skills I acquired from the training (chapter three). In chapter four the study report shows the conclusions and recommendations. The appendices behind the study report contains tables, map of Bududa district, the daily activity plans and photographs showing different activities I carried out. Some of the recommendations suggested include provision of water to the uphill people, construction of more feeder roads and provision of more extension workers to work closely with the farmers by the government. In conclusion, Bududa district has a wonderful and potential value in animal production and management towards the people who are the beneficiaries. The wonderful experience and Skills that I have acquired during the training have empowered me to become a potential Animal Health Officer. I have been shaped to support other farmers in regard to Animal Production and management. en_US
