Abstract:
The industrial training which was done for the partial fulfilment of an award of Diploma in crop production and management of Busitema University and was carried out at Sasakawa African Association at Nakapirpiripirit field office. The Agriculture and market support project covers majorly promoting demonstration and widespread adoption of improved pre- and postproduction agricultural technologies for smallholder farmers in Uganda in collaboration with relevant government institutions farmer organizations and the private sector was assigned to carry out my tasks at Loregae and Namalu farmer organizations covers quite a number of pre and post agricultural technologies on grains on maize and beans for example use raised drying ground, a sieve for cleaning, tauplines for drying, pics airtight bags for storage, palates for raising pics bag on the floor of store and also offering technical advice to farmers.
The purpose of the attachment was to acquire knowledge and make comparison with classroom theory work. The major aim was to find out whether the AMS-SAA goal and specific objectives have been achieved. With a very formal orientation done, I was able to cope up with the working style and got integrated into the team which enabled me to learn a lot like team work, record keeping, work plan drawing the rules and regulations of the organization, how NGOs. and government bodies work and this was an exciting moment.
I therefore recommend the organization to always continue offering students a chance and opportunity to explore into the classroom knowledge as a most of its activities are practical and enriching and to better student's knowledge and animal section can be incorporated into the activities that are done in an organization to benefit students.
