Abstract:
Industrial training two is a mandatory course unit for all students at BAUC. It gives us a plat form to put into practice what has been covered from school theoretically and also acquire working experience more knowledge and practical skills.
During this industrial training, I was attached to Nyenga foundation. The major objectives during this training were to, pathology, entomology of maize, rice, beans, cassava and sweet potatoes. While in the field, the activities we carried out were, land preparations, planting weeding, spaying of various crops identification of different breeds of cattle and pigs.
Though I was able to achieve all my objectives, I encountered a number of challenges during the training period such as; lack of enough working tools more so in the equality department which somehow delayed work while in this department, the high costs of living in terms of housing, food and water. This report consists of four chapters, chapter one includes introduction and talks about the name of the organization. Chapter two basically contains orientation, activities carried out during the training and the organization structure. Chapter three is composed of skills gained, responsibilities undertaken, influence of the industrial training on the future career and relationship between the class knowledge and industrial training activities.
Chapter four explains about the conclusions and recommendations that is to say, the internship was to a great extent beneficial since it provided practical skills and knowledge for example rice cultivation, how to deal with group dynamics for development in agriculture and so many others.
