An internship report carried out at Mbale city council.

Abstract

This Report contains the background, all activities carried out, skills and qualifications attained, challenges faced, conclusions and recommendations derived from challenges encounter during my industrial training at Mbale City Council. The main objectives of the industrial training were to enable students apply class room knowledge in the field, gain. more skills and experience from the station of attachment, build confidence and exposure to the Job market as well as creating connections.

The training was conducted at Mbale City Council in Mbale City and it was for nine weeks i.e., 28/02/2022 to 29th/04/202Zon reporting to the station, we were oriented by the head of production department Mr. Massa Simon on the different sections and activities to do per week. I was attached to the Veterinary Officer Northern Division who took me to the field and taught me many activities e.g., meat inspection, treatment of various diseases, dehorning, castration and vaccination etc.

However, the training has been a successful one despite of a few challenge-like long distances from our resides to the Mbale City council offices, language barrier in the filed with some farmers. The training went on smoothly and am confident that I can work and handle most of the farmers challenges when in the field.
