Abstract:
I started industrial training on 28th Feb 2022 and ended on 0611) may 2022 at Kasajja Livestock Farm which is located in Nakaloke sub-county, Kolonyi Zone 1, Mbale district. The Farm deals in Livestock which include goats, cattle, fish farming, bee keeping and crops like pastures; sunflower, maize beans and orchard.
During the industrial training, we participated in different activities in the entire Livestock and crop section which included activities in goats and cattle like endo-parasite control for example deworming, health inspection, dipping, treatment, castration, and cleaning of structures. We also carried activities in orchard management like pruning, spot wedding, spraying. The industrial training was very important as we got equipped with practical ideas in Livestock, diary management and crop we also encountered some challenges like a challenge of poor roads leading to farm gardens.
However, despite of the challenges faced the internship was completed successfully. Under my recommendation, the intern recommends the management of the farm to upgrade roads in order to resolve the above problems.
