Abstract:
This industrial training report covers activities conducted at National Semi: Arid Resources Research Institute, Serere. from 28th February, 2022 to 6th May, 2022. During my orientation of industrial training, T was attached to the anima] section at NaSARRl -farm where I conducted all my activities from.
The industrial training at NaSARRI farm attempted to provide practical skills, field practice and experience to enhance the theoretical knowledge that is learnt in class. Therefore, my objectives were to acquaint myself with; the various animal husbandry practices e.g., spraying against ecto parasites, deworming, weighing of cattle and get hands on experience on animal welfare skills, the various breeds of cattle, goats, animal diseases, their signs, symptoms, and treatment, record keeping My industrial training NaSARRI farm was quite successful despite of a few challenges e.g., the army worms which. invaded the district and ate up all the vegetation leaving the animals with nothing to feed on, lack of a clinic to provide first aid treatment for both the farm employees and in case of any injury while at the farm. My industrial training report comprises of four chapters i.e.,
Chapter one covers introduction to industrial training, chapter two covers the description of attachment, chapter three covers impact of the attachment, and chapter four covers conclusions and recommendations.
