Abstract:
This report is about the industrial training activities that carried out at Buwali subcounty Bududa district during the period of 10 weeks. I was carrying out these activities in animal production section. Objectives of field attachment include; 10 gain practical based experience, knowledge and skills competence, to develop student personal morals such as innovation to apply theoretical knowledge gained from the university in solving real life problems to build good working relationship with organization staff and farmers. The activities I undertook during the industrial training include: Management of day one old chicks, vaccination poultry diseases like NCD, fowl pox, fowl typhoid, treatment of animal diseases e.g., babesiosis, ECF, Anaplasmosis, hypocalcaemia (milk fever), spraying of ticks.
In IT, I gained the flowing skills and knowledge how: treat some animal diseases 1ike ECF, babesiosis, Anaplasmosis, vaccination schedule poultry, how to manage day one old chicks, how tot associate with the community. Impact of IT are the following: problem long distance to farmers homes for treatment, luck of transport, luck of funds to purchase drugs, poor payment of the farmers, hunger.
In my conclusion, I conclude by saying that the IT was successfully done I appreciate it. I thank the entire BUAC team tor giving the knowledge and skills which helped me in IT. I also learnt very important skills as well as experience during my training. I recommend that the university Should provide transport and money for feeding and accommodation to students.
