Internship training report carried out at Kagiira skills and development centre farm, Ishongororo town council, Ibanda district.

Abstract

This report is denoting information about an internship training that was carried out at Kagiira Skills and Development Centre Ibanda district. This training started on 28th February and ended on 5th May 2022. The major objective of the internship training to acquire practical skills and knowledge about the management of different agricultural enterprises. It was also aimed at gaining exposure to various activities carried out at farm level m the agricultural production chain.

During the industrial training, a number of activities were carried out basing on animal section which include milking, disease diagnosis, and treatment hygiene management and others. I take the great opportunity to thank everyone that financially academically and socially helped me in gathering, compiling and approving this report. Great thanks to the field supervisors, casual workers and the University for their time and lastly, I thank the almighty GOD for the gift of life.

The farm should try by all means to avail adequate training facilities and tools to encourage and enhance proper participation of students.

Every student should have protective gears like overalls, gum boosts, gloves, to effectively and efficiently cany out their daily activities without getting injuries.

Students should be motivated by both the farm management and the University supervisors to get the required practical skills. By involving them in practical exercises done at the farm and also the University.
